Kudia Ghat of Gomti River in Lucknow, is one of the ancient and sacred places. It is named after Rishi Kaundilya, who had established his Ashram near the river bank in early times. This beautiful Ghat, has a cupola-covered sandstone –paved platform just off the access road leads down to a leafy strip along the riverbank. A number of people enjoy swimming here and particularly in Kartik Purnima millions of devotees come here and take a holy dip in river Gomti. The views here are impressive you can see the nearby old Iron Bridge, Hussainabad’s Imambaras. Boat ride is also available here at a reasonable rate. The Ghat is open to all from Dawn to Dusk.
